Somali police boss visits police stations in Baidoa
Somali police chief General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud has visited several police stations in Baidoa, the provincial capital of Bay region and met with police officials from the Southwest interim administration and AMISOM.
General Mohamed said his visit to the police centres was to assess the condition of the police stations and the situation the local police operate under.
In his meeting with the local police officials, he said they discussed a range of issues concerning the police and the support they need.
He said there were ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of the Somali police force to enable them better serve the people.
